Development of EMEA hub

We worked with Avon Cosmetics to develop and build a new distribution hub for their European, Middle East, and Africa operations.

ABOUT

Supported Avon, the world’s leading direct seller of beauty products with annual turnover of $11bn, by managing a $22m development project for a new EMEA distribution hub.

A significant project for the brand, this new build on a 8ha greenfield site saw the creation of 38,000 pallet locations for 5,000 SKU’s and a 24/7 operation. The high-bay, wide-aisle configuration allowed for future expansion to 50,000 pallet locations in the future without adding to the footprint.

Ensuring efficient delivery, a 25,000m² warehouse was designed, constructed and opened for operation in just 12 months, 8 months of which was build time. Specific requirements for the hub included 22 docks, in-rack sprinklers, a bespoke aerosol storage cell, and FLT charging.
